Android Sync Lotus Notes (CompanionLink Software)

Product: CompanionLink for Google

Unfortunately for some of us who are required to use Lotus Notes and don't have the luxury of Microsoft Outlook, what is available to us to sync our devices are very limited. Whether you are a Windows Mobile users, Blackberry users, Apple iPhone users, and/or even Android users, trying to find the software that offers a good sync is rare.
In the past when using Windows Mobile devices, I used the software from a company called CommonTime. The product was known as mNote. As a Blackberry user, foruntately they offer the feature in their Blackberry Desktop Manager. This time around, I decided to try something different. CommonTime mNote does support Android sync, I will evaluate that another time.

CompanionLink for Google offers wireless sync for your Android devices. It will export Lotus Notes calendars, contacts, and tasks (to-do) and sync it up with Google's offered product on google.com website. From there, depending on your Android devices, it will sync down using your 3G, Edge, or some wireless signal to your phone. In my case, it is the new Motorola Droid offered through Verizon Wireless.

The setup is very simple. A quick installation and simple wizard walk through and I am done. The software offers one way and two ways sync. At the moment, the sync has to be done via network or wireless connection. The USB features is coming soon according to their website.
